In domesticated food animals, stress can affect many things, such as meat quality, milk production, and reproduction, not to mention general health. Some stress is predictable, such as birth, weaning, and travel, and some is not, like weather conditions and crowding.

Stress effects cattle in various ways, such as restlessness, a drop in food and roughage intake, or reduced grazing activity and weight loss. The effects of stress can become so extreme that it affects animals’ growth rate and can decrease milk production. Stress can also increase the susceptibility to respiratory disease by increasing the animal’s respiration rate, which causes panting, and also lowers the animal’s immune system.

Enterimace is an ideal combination of amino acids, minerals, vitamins, essential microbials, proven immune boosting proteins, and electrolytes. This supplement is scientifically formulated to help support normal appetite, digestion, and energy levels in cattle. Enterimace is highly fortified and recommended for use during times of stress, and is also beneficial when utilized as a standard part of calf-processing protocol.

The first ingredients in Enterimace are the amino acids L-Glutamine, L-Arginine, and L-Lysine. Glutamine has been extensively studied for over ten years. It has been shown to be useful in the healing of various traumas, such as injuries, burns, and other wounds. It is commonly used to increase muscle growth. Arginine also plays an important role in the healing of wounds, by quickening the repair time of damaged tissue, and it is also beneficial for immune function. Lysine is a necessary building block for all of the protein in your animals’ body. It plays an important role in building muscle protein, calcium absorption, and the production of antibodies, enzymes, and hormones. Lysine supplementation has been shown to reduce symptoms of stress, and is a particularly important additive to animal feed because, when optimizing the growth of animals for the production of meat, it is a limiting amino acid. This means that its supplementation allows for the use of lower-cost plant protein, such as maize, while maintaining high growth rates. It also helps to limit pollution from nitrogen excretion.

The trace mineral Selenium is added to Enterimace because it is essential to good health. It is incorporated into proteins to make antioxidant enzymes, which help prevent cellular damage from free radicals. Free radicals are by-products of oxygen metabolism and may contribute to the development of heart disease.

Other ingredients include Vitamin A, which is an important growth factor for cells and tissue, and Vitamins D and E, both antioxidants that help to protect against microbial invaders and support immune function.

Incoming Cattle

4 stars

The Enterimace product is great to use on incoming cattle. Administer it when the cattle are worked for the first time and then when you re- vac.

Gets them off to a great start so they can go to the ration in the bunk.

Rejuvenates their digestive system

5 stars

I started adding Enterimace to my Coccidiosis treatment, previously I could get rid of the Cocci but their digestive system had been so damaged it took weeks to recover if at all. After adding Enterimace, my calves never quit nursing and were better almost immediately! I've now been using it on all weak newborns and anything I doctor with excellent success.

Live calf

5 stars

I used Enterimace on a baby calf that had not nursed at all. This was after we had tube fed the calf and treated with several antibiotics. The calf was unable to stand or nurse a bottle, and he was in respiratory distress and was unable to digest any milk we got in him. We finally gave the calf Enterimace. Even though there was no dosage that small, we did the best we could. From that day forward the calf began nursing and growing. My wife is a veterinarian, and she is convinced the only thing that kept that calf alive and got him going is Enterimace.
