Probios® Dispersible Powder contains a source of live (viable) direct fed microbials. How it works:
Since one direct fed microbial alone cannot provide all the required health benefits, Probios® Dispersible Powder contains four species of live naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria including three species of Lactobacillus (acidophilus, plantarum, casei) along with Enterococcus faecium. Live Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei and Enterococcus faecium all ferment lactose into lactic acid. As direct fed microbials, they promote breakdown and assimilation of nutrients while helping to maintain proper gut flora.

Good results

My barrel racing horse had hock issues and in addition to getting hock injections, he had to be on bute for several days. Bute is especially hard on their system. He was "cinchy" and didn't like being brushed over his ribs or belly indicating that he was uncomfortable. A good friend and animal nutritionist I work with recommended I start him immediately on the Probios powder. It didn't take long for him to start feeling better and the nasty attitude stopped when his digestive system returned to normal! I am happy that the recommended dose is small and the container will last a long time making it a really good value! (Posted on 3/29/12)

Good product, good price

My horse has a hind-gut problem, and he often has loose stools, for one reason or another. I tried many different companies products over the course of years, from very expensive to somewhat inadequate, small amount or prescribed dose. Finally, I came across this product and I am giving him 2 small spoons on his breakfast grain and dinner grain. I eventually stopped the expensive, more comprehensive product, and my horse is doing well - no worse than before, at least. I may increase the amount to shoot for the 100% healthy gut system, but for now, this product is working great. Also, it is much cheaper than the ones I have used in the past. When the freshness of the product is a question, it is nice to know that this website offers good volume products and I assume and therefore, the quality of the product is probably good...although it always worries me how cheaper price for animal products become 'cheaper' than other outfit. Excellent product for digestive problems and skin

Last year we adopted an older blind dog who had eaten a blanket while in the shelter and had surgery. No matter what we ate, what products we tried, etc., he always suffered from terrible gas - almost all the time. When I say terrible you cannot imagine. We purchased a special enzyme air spray from the vet and had him on purina supplement which helped somewhat - but it was quite expensive. We also have 2 other dogs - a Rottie who had a history of digestive upset and skin allergies and an English Setter who had a few bouts with serious digestive upsets too. I found the probios on your website and researched it in a few places - seeing only good feedback and the price was great, so I decided to try it. It has helped tremendously - gassy upsets are very minimal now and all 3 dogs have nice coats and good digestion. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone whose dog has digestive problems - and especially if you have multiple dogs because it is extremely cost effective. (Posted on 2/18/12)

I buy calves from the salebarn and feed probios to them and it seems to really make a difference. Just add a small scoop to the bottle and mix with the milk. I would highly recommend this product for everyone to use. (Posted on 1/3/12)

I've been using Probios since the early 90's. My vet recommended it for my frequently colicky ex-racehorse. I NEVER allow my Probios to run out, as this product is a life saver. When given in "adequate" doses, it works VERY quickly to resolve a gut ache. I give it to my dogs, and we have our own canister that WE use. Yes, WE. No colicky babies around this Grandma. My 86 yr old mother in law uses Probios daily & it has truly enhanced her quality of life. There are so many different symptoms when your 'good' bacteria is out of whack, so taking a healthy dose of Probiotics is ALWAYS a good place to start. Probios is an excellent product and we will NEVER be without it. (Posted on 3/18/11)
