Jarrow FORMULAS® ULTRA Jarro-Dophilus® is a supplement that is specifically designed to restore, protect, and maintain intestinal flora. A gel-forming matrix is combined with the probiotics and helps protect them during transit through the stomach.

Jarro-Dophilus contains three species of Lactobacillus (plantarum, casei, and acidophilus) and Enterococcus faecium. By working together, these unique strains help to maintain the proper amount of gut flora in the digestive tract, so that it is enough to support proper digestion and bowel health. Each capsule contains 40 billion total probiotic bacteria.

Live Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, and Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Enterococcus faecium all ferment lactose into lactic acid. Lactobacillus plantarum is necessary for the body's production of lactic acid. Lactobacillus casei complements the growth of Lactobacillus acidophilus and assists in propagation of healthy bacteria. Lactobacillus acidophilus works to improve gut absorption and maintain proper gut flora. It is also effective in helping to prevent yeast infections in the upper digestive tract, and is especially effective against those caused by Candida albicans, while Enterococcus faecium also promotes intestinal health.

This product is shipped in a thermal envelope with an ice pack. Consider upgrading your packaging for more protection. Refrigerate immediately after delivery.

Suggested Usage
