DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) a hormone secreted by the adrenal gland serves as a precursor to the hormones estrogen and testosterone. As a man/woman reaches about age 30, the DHEA levels in the body decrease and may be low in some people suffering from type 2 diabetes, AIDS, adrenal insufficiency or other critical illnesses. Though no long term studies have been performed, it is not recommended to take for long periods due to increase risk of prostate, breast, ovarian and other hormone-sensitive cancers.
Take 2 tablets twice daily.
