Determine the amount of KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food to be fed to the kitten at each feeding using the weight chart below. Reconstitute powder by using three parts (a part is any measuring device, i.e. teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup) water to one part powder for the first few days. This will make a thin gruel. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten portion within two hours. As kittens grow, decrease the amount of water mixed with the powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. Fresh, clean water should always be available for drinking.

A month old and thriving!
My four little boy ginger tabbies had their first experience with KMR2 tonight. One little guy took right to it and lapped it up like crazy. The other three are still trying to figure out why their faces were being shoved into a dish - lol. They will all get a bottle tonight so they will sleep well and long. They are a few days over a month old and absolutely thriving on the KMR regimen. It is reasonable enough to purchase when you buy through this vendor which helps tremendously when you do rescue work. Thank you PBS for making it possible for me to raise these little guys to be happy, healthy, loving pets. They have all had committed homes since the age of two weeks, and came from a feral mom. Mom is still managing to avoid being trapped so she can be spayed, but the people on the property are trying valiantly!
2nd step is a great start
Our mama cat died, and we had two kittens that we needed to feed. 2nd Step was perfect. The kittens ate it right away and seemed very satisfied. Their coats were very healthy, and they haven't had any developmental problems. They are both on dry food now, but I really feel like 2nd Step gave then a good start.
