Azmira's Acidophilus is used to replace friendly bacteria in intestines compromised by illness, stress or veterinary medications like wormers, antibiotics and antifungals. Acidophilus protects the body in different respects. One way is through the breakdown of its food. When food is broken down, it leads to production of lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide and other by products that make the environment hostile for undesired organism. It is a simple, tasteless powder that is easily mixed into your pet's food.

Use up to 1/2 teaspoon per 25 lbs. of body weight per day. This recommendation can be doubled if using any toxic medications.
Note: Best given on a empty stomach, one hour before meals, mixed into water or in a gelatin capsule. If administered in a gelatin capsule, be sure animal has plenty of water to help dissolve the capsule. If needed, Acidophilus can be fed directly into meals.
If giving your companion antibiotics, wait until after antiobiotic use to begin supplementation, continuing for two to four weeks.
