PSCPets Advanced Joint Care Level 3 for Dogs is specially formulated by veterinarians and contains a combination of glucosamine, perna mussel, chondroitin and MSM to provide the "maximum" level of support for healthy joints and flexibility in dogs with joint problems.
As dogs age, the cartilage between their joints begin to break down. Advanced Joint Care Level 3 contains glucosamine (from shellfish) which is a precursor to glycosaminoglycans...glycosaminoglycans are known to be a major component of joint tissue and are thought to possibly slow down the effects of cartilage breakdown and treat arthritis.
Chondroitin, another of the important ingredients found in PSCPets Advanced Joint Care Level 1 for Dogs is also a very important structural component in cartilage and is commonly used as a treatment for osteoarthritis.
MSM is also used, which helps maintain a healthy immune system and rejuvenates cells.
