PSCPets.com Rescue Outreach Program - helping a good paws
April 2012's Featured Organization is Bob's House for Dogs
Bob's House is a non-profit foster care and adoption center for dogs located in Eleva, WI. The vast majority of our guests are dogs with special medical needs, physically disabled dogs, elderly dogs who would otherwise be euthanized, dogs who can't tolerate the sometimes stressful conditions of normal shelters and dogs who have been abused or are puppy-mill survivors.

Open, home-like environment
We provide an open, home-like environment for our guests. Our canine friends openly socialize with each other, nap together in a sunbeam on a couch or race around in our expansive fenced-in recreation area.
Adoption success
Most importantly, our guests find homes. Over the last 2 years or so, we've been home to approximately 200 dogs and successfully facilitated the adoption of nearly all of them – an impressive number given the special and unique story of need associated with each of them.
Canine companion program
In their time with us, our guests repeatedly remind us of the comfort and love they have to offer. Perhaps this is best exemplified by our Canine Companion program where volunteers accompany our companions to 17 area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Through an outstretched paw, wag of a tail or gentle nuzzle, our guests brighten the lives of nursing home residents.
Our facility is unique in that Bob's House for dogs operates on donations and fundraisers only. We do not receive any funding from the shelters or rescues that we provide foster care, medical needs, food, training and the facilitation of the adoptions of the dogs in our care.
