We have a puppy and a cat. The puppy chases the cat. Cat now outsmarts puppy but running through and puppy can't fit! Love it! Took kitty awhile to figure out she could go through as she was jumping over. We didn't need the extensions as it fits a standard door without but used the ext on the stairways when training puppy not to go up them. I also love that it can be either screwed in for pressure mounted. The lift access is so easy and we never pushed it down to lock but it has the option. So simple to install and use for the kids too! The only downfall I have is the swing door doesn't stay open or go back flush with the gate so we had to use string and tie it open and it stuck out(why i gave it 4 stars, not 5). Wish it would sit all the back or have some lock in place mechanism, but other than that, excellent product!
