DFM-EQ Powder™ is a stabilized source of lactic acid bacteria. Feed at times of stress, which can occur during birth, shipping, weather changes, ration changes, shows, competition or following antibiotic treatment or stress associated with travel and performance. It is ideal for show animals to combat stress associated with travel and performance.
Since one direct fed microbial alone cannot provide all the required health benefits, it contains four species of live naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria including three species of Lactobacillus (acidophilus, plantarum, casei) along with Enterococcus faecium. DFM-EQ Powder features the unique microbial PS strains for unrivaled benefits. It also contains yeast to further improve gut absorption. It helps support proper digestion and bowel health in all classes of horses, plus it is apple flavored, which horses love.

Directions: Mix with daily feed.
Tip: Scoop is included. 1 level scoop = 5 grams
Feeding Recommendations: For adult horses (1000 lbs), use one level scoop per day. For foals, use 1 scoop at birth and 1/2 scoop per day thereafter.

Probiotic Ingredients
Lactobacillus acidophilus strains PS-503 and PS-501 are for improving gut absorption and maintaining proper gut flora. After much research and trying several other well-known, vet -recommended probiotics to remedy continued low grade colic and frequent diarrhea in my 21 year old stallion I finally succeeded in balancing his gut flora with the DFM-EZ powder. A review of the ingredients showed it to be superior in potency and quality. It does not contain a bunch of cheap sugars to acidify the gut either.
