Probios Equine One Oral Gel is an oral source of probiotics that contains four species of live, naturally- occurring lactic acid bacteria, including three species of Lactobacillus acidophilus, plantarum, and casei, along with Enterococcus faecium. Lactobacillus acidophilus helps maintain proper gut flora and improves nutrient absorption. Lactobacillus plantarum promotes the breakdown and assimilation of nutrients. Lactobacillus casei provides enzymes that are necessary for proper digestion, and Enterococcus faecium improves gut absorption. These microbials work together to help support proper digestion and bowel health. Equine One Oral Gel has an guaranteed level of these direct fed microbials and also utilizes with the antioxidant vitamin E for additional health benefits.

In the past, pastures contained many different types of plants and grasses that provided beneficial nutrients and bacteria for horses. Typical pastures today only contain a few varieties of plants and grasses, so there are generally not enough probiotics available in a horse's normal environment to support their digestive needs when they need help.Horses primarily live on grass, which provides the animal with nutrients by fermenting in the gut. Because fermentation is dependent on the microorganisms that live in the large intestine, probiotics help horses' digestion work at optimal levels by keeping the microorganisms flourishing and healthy. Many owners are beginning to realize that improving their horse's digestion not only helps improve their overall health, but also reduces the amount of feed needed to maintain a healthy weight.

There are many factors that can effect the number microorganisms in the gut. Some of them are stress-related, such as foaling, weaning, showing, and transporting, and some are health-related such as vaccination, deworming, and antibiotic treatment. Some of these factors result in problems with proper digestion or assimilation of nutrients. This can result in skin and hoof problems, weight problems, or health problems such as diarrhea.

Research has shown that the maximum benefit of the supplementation comes with consistent use. Probios Equine One Gel makes this easy as it comes packaged in a tube with clear markings of measurement to help you provide the recommended dose.

  1. Excellent product review by Tina

I have an older horse that was in terrible condition when we got him. He was starved, 500lbs under weight. After we got him up to weight he started getting getting the runs...we started giving him Probios and it has worked wonders. Thanks so much. I highly recommend this product. (Posted on 2/13/12)

  2. Essential for my pet review by Leslie

I have a dog with life-long digestive issues. This product is essential for the health of his gut; without it, bad bacteria take over and he gets diarrhea, bad gas, and no doubt is very uncomfortable. A few grams of this twice a day keeps him happy. We use this one because it does not contain anything but the digestive ingredients. It is very easy to administer and he loves it. 3. Excellent Product review by Bruce

On advice from our vet we have been giving our 2 berners each 2cc per day of Equine One Oral Gel. It's been 3 years now and both dogs are doing great. The occasional instability in digestion has stopped.

ProbioticSmart.com has been a great source for us. We travel a lot and have had no trouble receiving orders quickly wherever we are. There's never been an issue. Thank you! (Posted on 12/3/11)

  4. Great product review by Joey and Rosies Mom

I used to by this product from my vet.... Then found I could get it for half the price at your web site.
It has done wonders for my dogs' digestion &saved me a bundle (Posted on 11/11/11)

  5. Does the Job review by Leslie

My dog has to have probiotics to maintain balance in his gut. My vet "prescribed" this for him because the canine version has ingredients he cannot have. My dog's chronic bowel infections have died down to very infrequent occurrences since he has been getting this product regularly. Gave 4 stars only because sometimes the tubes leak. We are very satisfied with the actual product. (Posted on 10/12/11)

  6. helps with chronic diarrhea review by Becky

I've been using this for years for my horse with chronic diarrhea. It works well to help keep it under control (no doubt the kind of hay the barn is feeding plays a role too.) I've been able to use 1/3 of a tube as my usual dose, so it's not too expensive that way even if I have to dose him every other day. (Posted on 8/2/11)

  7. Amazing Stuff! review by Alissa
