Feliway is a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone, used by cats to mark their territory as safe and secure.
By mimicking the cat’s natural facial pheromones, Feliway creates a state of familiarity and security in the cat's local environment.
As a result, Feliway® can be used to help comfort and reassure cats while they cope with a challenging situation and help prevent or reduce the stress caused by a change in their environment.
The development of Feliway®created a new field in veterinary medicine: Pheromonatherapy.
Feliway is available in 2 convenient forms: an electric diffuser and a spray.

How do I use Feliway®?
How you use Feliway® will depend on the situation your cat is faced with and/or the behavior he or she is exhibiting. Further details about using Feliway® to help cats face common challenging situations or showing obvious symptoms of stress are listed below.
In addition, specific advice about which presentation is the most appropriate and more general advice on using both Feliway® Spray and the Feliway® Diffuser are also included. Should you have any further queries please contact us.
To reduce or prevent urine marking, it is important to avoid cleaning marked areas with products containing ammonia or bleach. Cats are extremely sensitive to strong smells, so it is recommended to use water and rubbing alcohol or an odorless solution to treat soiled areas.
Plug the Feliway® Diffuser in the room where the marking is taking place. If the cat is marking in several different rooms, you may wish to place another diffuser in one of the other rooms.
Leave the diffuser in place for at least four weeks. Replace the refill as required (every four weeks).
The Feliway® Spray may be used in addition to the diffuser to treat a particular area where marking persists.
In such cases, clean the marked area and allow to dry. Then apply the spray daily, to both the site and nearby prominent objects.
Stop site treatment when the cat marks the area with his or her own facial pheromone (is seen to rub the site with his or her head).
Spray six depressions of Feliway® to the scratched surface once a day.
Apply for at least one month and stop when the cat marks the site with his or her own facial pheromones (is seen to rub the site with his or her head).
Most importantly, provide an alternative scratching post nearby.
To reduce stress in a multi-cat household, plug the Feliway® Diffuser in the room where the cat(s) display(s) signs of distress or discomfort.
Leave the diffuser plugged in continuously for at least four weeks. Replace the refill as required.
Make sure that each cat has its own place to sleep, eat, area to use the litter box in peace, and offer a safe hiding place.
Following a disruption to the cats' environment (redecoration, visitors, new pets, new baby)
Plug the diffuser in the room in which the cat(s) display(s) signs of distress or discomfort.
Leave it plugged in continuously for four weeks or until the problem subsides. Replace refill as required.
To help a cat settle into a new environment (after moving into a new house, new kitten socialization following adoption, etc)
Plug a Diffuser into the room in which the cat(s) display(s) signs of distress or discomfort.
Leave it plugged in continuously for four weeks. Replace refill as required.
For transporting or during a stay at a boarding facility
Apply Feliway® Spray directly into carrier or kennel 15 minutes before introducing the cat (one spray in each of the four corners, two sprays on the floor and two sprays on the ceiling).
Reapply before each journey or daily during the cats

I feel it really works
I've been using Feliway diffusers to calm my cat for about 4 or more years. Whenever I think he doesn't need it any more, (or I hate to spend the money) I quickly change my mind. There a noticeable difference in his behavior when I am not using the diffusers. I have 4 located throughout the house. Call me crazy, but I feel it makes the difference and always have extra refills on hand. I don't however use the spray.
I have 6 cats in all, 3 neutered males and 3 females that haven't been fixed yet. I have 2 females that have a really bif attitude problem and since I have been using Feliway, their attitudes have changed dramaticially and are calmer and more relaxed. Without the Feliway plugged in they become abusive to the other cats and are just little terrors. Thank God for Feliway!
We're in the process of moving and our 5 yr old male cat began spraying, vomiting and was very nervous. After some research, I found Feliway. Within an hour of plugging in the diffuser he was relaxed (and sleeping near it). I sprayed the places where he had been marking and he has completely stopped. No more vomiting and he seems very relaxed just as he was before the packing and preparations for moving began. I'm going to spray his kennel on moving day. I highly recommend these products and am ordering another diffuser and refills because our new home is two stories.
Great product, really works!
I have many cats and one of them is very shy. We adopted him about 1 year ago and still this cat can't relax near other cats and hiding most of time in basement, never eat or drink together with other cats, don't use cat beds etc. So I decided to try Feliway, as I heard that it work good. After 2 days of usage I was amazed how our shy boy changed. He started to walk around house, drink and eat with other cats and sleep in cat beds, where normally other cats slept. He's still some shy, but comparing with how he's been before, he's a brand new cat! Now I want to buy more 2-3 plug-in's for other rooms.
