Directions for use:
For best results, we recommend deShedding your pet immediately after washing and drying. Use only on a completely dry coat. Before using the deShedding tool, perform a complete physical inspection of your pet. If you see tangles or matting in his coat, take him to a grooming salon for professional treatment before using the deShedding tool. Look for sores, bruises and skin conditions, which may be concealed by his coat. If your pet has any of these conditions, seek treatment from a veterinarian before brushing. Use the deShedding tool much like a brush and gently stroke across the pet's coat in the direction of hair growth, angling the stainless steel teeth of the deShedding edge toward the coat. Start from the head and work your way back, using extra care near the pet's stomach, legs, genitals and anus. Avoid making excessive strokes in a single area, instead using long, gentle strokes up and away from your pet's skin. Deep or rough brushing can cause your pet's skin to become red and irritated, so do not apply too much weight or downward pressure. If you notice any redness or irritation, discontinue use. Remove excess hair from the teeth of the deShedding tool as you work by pushing the FURejector button.

I don't have a cat, but I did purchase this item for a gift, for a friend with multiple cats (and dog) who mentions how grateful they were to receive it.. It's not inexpensive, but when you work with the feline purr suasion, you want to be purring up a storm and get every bang FUR your buck.
They can be incredibly difficult, and when a tool such as this can offer rewards such tht it can, by owning and USING it, well, what more can I say? If need be, save up some points and treat the FURmily well. Or treat someone else to a gift that keeps on giving.
So, I have tried it, effectively, and believe it a worthwhile investment. Still don't have a cat. My sister had one when we were growing up, but these luxuries did not exist forty years ago plus, when Skippy was around. What a shame, since she actually LIKED to be brushed. I chose four stars only because the subject is about brushing a cat. The ones I know that are benefitting from its use, well, a few still don't get with the program, but it likely should have five stars. Cat people: please, understand where this is coming from.
