Greenies® Pill Pockets® Treats are a healthy treat that makes giving your dog pills a positive experience for both of you. The treats have a built-in pocket that works perfectly for hiding medications and supplements. Dogs love the smell and taste so much, they don't even notice the pills!
Veterinarians designed the Pocket Treats with the idea that hiding the medication inside something your dog really likes makes giving the pills a lot easier. The delicious treat masks any smell or taste of medicine, making pill delivery stress-free. The treats are also formulated with Vitamins C and E to support your pet's immune system.
You can choose your dog's favorite flavor. There is Beef, Chicken, and a special allergy recipe. The allergy recipe includes roasted duck and peas, and is for dogs who have allergies, often associated with skin problems such as itching and biting, to common ingredients found in many treats. Some of the common allergens in food or treats are dairy, wheat, corn, and soy.
Greenies® Pill Pockets® come in two sizes to match your medications. The small size fits most tablets, and the large size fits most capsules. Depending on the size of the pills, in many cases more than one can be placed into either size.

There are only three easy steps to making pill time a rewarding time for your dog.
1. Hold the Pill Pocket with your thumb and forefinger, and then insert the tablet or capsule.
2. Use the same hand that is holding the pocket to squeeze the top half closed. It is important to remember that in order to prevent transfer of the medicine's taste or smell, do not touch the Pill Pocket with the hand that held the pill.
3. The Pill Pocket is sealed and then can be fed to your pet.

This makes my days so much easier when I need to give my boys medication. With these pill pockets I do not have to fight them to get the pill inside of them. As the President of an animal rescue specializing in special needs and senior dogs, we find ourselves medicating animals often and some are not as easy as others.
That being said we find this product makes giving meds so much less stressful on the animal as well as the human

My dog is able to detect pills in EVERYTHING (hot dogs, cheese, PB, etc) but he WILL take pills in these pill pockets (though he is not a fan of the duck). They have a strong odor, but this is probably why the dog doesn't detect the pill. I've even used this with Flagyl (which stinks) and he still takes it. I give him benadryl each night for his allergies too and it's so nice to not have to shove pills down his throat. Also, I've not found a better price than on pscpets. (Posted on 5/16/11)

These treats are the best thing ever! I have a four year old bichon named Jax, and I have tried everything with him... peanut butter, regular butter, melted cheese, ground beef, you name it. I used to have to chase him around the house and hold him down. It was awful! I read reviews of these online and decided to try them. Now, he actually runs to me when he hears me open the package!
