The battery lasts a long time and I really love that you can see how much citronella is left in the reservoir. You can gauge how much your dog is using and when you need to refill it. They quickly learn not to bark and use less of the citronella to avoid the spray action. I love my dog but he is pretty darn stupid and even he learned quickly not to bark.
