The cushion that surrounds the joints becomes thin and stiff in osteoarthritis, and because Glucosamine is used by the body to create that cushion, supplementing with glucosamine may help supply the materials that are needed to rebuild it. Chondroitin is added along with glucosamine because its use may work to increase the efficacy of the glucosamine. Extract of Perna Mussel is another important ingredient. It contains additional glucosamine along with other compounds that work to maintain joint function and mobility. MSM supports healthy connective tissues such as ligaments, muscle, and tendons, and it also helps maintain synovial fluid that lubricates joints. 

Because PetsPrefer Senior Formula for Dogs is intended to support the whole dog, it contains several extra ingredients that are important for total health. Directions: The tablets can be given directly or mixed with meal
Dosage: (Initial)
Under 20 lbs: 1/2 Tablet daily
20 to 70 lbs: 1 Tablet daily (1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening)
Over 70 lbs: 2 tablets daily (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening)

After initial six week period the level can be reduce to half. Administration may be increased at any time depending on the pet’s condition.

Special Precautions: Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven.
