Preventic collars stop new ticks from attaching by paralyzing the ticks mouth. Preventic collars cannot be used on cats.

Apply collar to your dog, making sure collar contacts skin. Adjust for proper fit (two fingers fit under collar). Be sure collar doesn't loosen, check occasionally. Clip off excess collar, wrapping excess in newspaper and disposing properly.
