It could also be caused from parasites. Have you had your dog's stools tested?

No, I haven't, but that's a good idea. He's been having it continuously for a week now, and as far as I know, there haven't been any changes.

Lots of things can cause diarrhea in pets, but I think it's mostly stress. Things like moving, dietary changes, traveling. In my experience, sometimes it happens for no apparent reason.

Changes in diet can cause it, like switching from one food to another.

If it just started suddenly a week ago, he or she could have eaten something bad, like a dead animal or something out of the garbage.

If it's been going on for a week, I would call your vet. That seems like a long time, and you don't want your dog to get dehydrated.

Yeah, it could be stress, but it could also be something dietary. Is it chronic, or just occasional?

Oh wow so many things can cause a bout of diarrhea. I agree with other people here on the thread that you should definitely chat with your vet to make sure there isn't something serious going on. After that, one of the best things you can do for a dog that is having diarrhea is give him a probiotic such as Fortiflora. What a probiotic does is help to normalize the digestive tract and put back in healthy bacteria. It's also really important to note that Fortiflora can be used on a daily basis to stave off diarrhea, increase digestive function as well as the immune system. Probiotics are great for so many things. I hope your dog's diarrhea gets better!
