It can be any number of things, like her system isn't acidic enough or even something wrong with the tear ducts.

There can be a number of different reasons for tear stains, from allergies, to excessive tearing, diet, and even genetics. When the fur remains wet it can be a breeding ground for bacteria and yeast often causing that reddish color you are seeing. Other specialist believe that it is a bacteria(not necessarily harmful) in the system that causes it and this is why the Angels' Eyes has been so effective in treating tear stains. The safe low grade antibiotic combats and targets the problem from the inside out clearing your pets fur.
