Do cats need baths?
I have a long haired cat, and someone told me that I should bathe her. Is this true? I thought cats kept themselves clean.

You'll be able to tell just by keeping your eye on her. If she looks fine, she is, and if she looks greasy, she needs a little help. The onlt thing about long haired cats is that sometimes people get their butts shaved or trimmed so that they don't get dingleberries.

they usually do, but sometimes if they're old or overweight, it gets hard for them.

With most younger, healthy cats, they will keep themselves clean, but they might still get matted. Sometimes groomers shave their bellies too, or my friend gets hers a lion cut.
