Hi Elisa,
That's a good question. A dog will chew on their paws for a variety of reasons including:
1. Some type of pain like Arthritis
2. Rocks or ice inbetween their paw pads
3. An allergy to something on the floor or ground
4. A type of mange called Demodicosis mange (Red Mange) is a microscopic mite that affects one or more of a dog's feet
5. Bordom or a obsessive compulsive disorder
If your dog is excessively licking his paws, possibly she is experiencing some type of pain so you would definitley want to check out her paws for injuries and take her to the vet to be examined. Good luck, hope that helps a bit!
