Hey there Felipe,
How much water your dog should drink in a day depends on the size of your dog as well as your dog's activity level. According to Dogster.com, average dogs over 20 pounds consume between .5 and one ounce of water per pound per day, so a 50 pound dog would consume between 25 and 50 ounces (.75 – 1.5L) of water in day. So keep in mind that if your dog is pretty active he will need more. It's also important to note that excessive thirst can be a symptom of some sort of underlying problem, so if the thirst seems excessive... definitely take a trip to the vet.
Hope that helps!
