I have a 2 year old wheaten terrier that I just got from my sister. She is very over-weight, to the point of being unhealthy. How can a dog lose weight, without it being too stressful for her, but still effective?

well, i think you can just start things out slowly, like going on short walks and then gradually working up to longer ones. also, slowly take down the amount of foo she is consuming, like maybe a fourth of a cup at a time. make sure she's eating the recommended amount for her desired weight.

That seems like a good answer, but you should definitely consult with your vet. He or she might even be able to recommend a good diet food to switch her to.
