It's impossible to completely stop barking puppies, but the first think that my trainor told me is to make sure they have what they need: food, water, attention and excercise. the second thing is to not pay attention to them unless they are behaving, so if they're too excited, make them calm down before you give in.

Another thing you can do is crinkle aluminum foil or toss a little can with some change in it to distract them from barking. Some people spray water in the face, but I think that mght make them afraid of baths. Good luck.
