Any tips on getting longer hair?
I trim my hair often, but for the past couple years my hair just doesn't seem to be getting any longer. I've read a little about different stuff to use, but I would really like a natural alternative. Any ideas?

Hi!! The only way to make your hair grow faster is to make it stronger. There are several nutrients you hair needs to grow strong, and unfortunately a lot of shampoos you buy in the store are filled with chemicals and toxins that strip your hair, damage the follicle and create an unhealthy environment in your scalp.

My advice is to find all natural shampoos for one. They are more expensive, but you don't have to use much and you should only wash your hair 2-3 times per week anyway, so the difference in cost is really not so bad.

I like to add nutrients to my hair at home, kind of like a home spa treatment. Coconut Oil, Vitamins D, C and E are all really important to your scalp. You can buy them in oil form and massage into your scalp and the tips of your follicles. Just don't use too much; a lot goes a long way. I also like doing an avocado mask once in a while. I mash up half an avocado with some olive oil (and any other essential oils I feel like, especially Coconut oil and Vit. E) and massage it into rinsed (but NOT shampooed) hair. Coat thoroughly and let it sit for fifteen minutes then rinse out with lukewarm water. I don't shampoo until the next morning so all the vitamins and stuff can be absorbed.

I've read a lot about the health of your hair in direct correlation to how stressed you are, and your diet. Foods high in Omega 3s are suppose to help jump start hair growth as well as vitamins A, D, E, and K. Also using oilsm especially Rosemary oil can help stimulate the hair follicle for new hair growth. Many people add this and maybe some other like lavender, thyme, and clary sage to a carrier oil that you can mix up and use at home. I used coconut oil, because that's what I had on hand, but I've heard jojoba is really great too.

Fish Oil is a very good nutrient for your skin and hair. The Omega-3s are really important for you on so many levels. I really like this product and buy about four bottles per year: Now Fish Oil Supplement http://www.probioticsmart.com/life/now-supplements-ultra-omega-3-fish-oil-180-softgels.html
